A Bankrupt Cork Shopkeeper, 1834 Co. Cork: Two vellum Documents
bound together, with seal in perfect condition, appointing John Ryan
and others to act upon the petition of Andrew Vance of Dublin and
other creditors of Peter Fleming of Cork, shopkeeper, who has been
declared bankrupt. Signed by Patrick Plunkett, Secretary of Bankrupts,
on vellum; also a small Account Book containing entries from April to
end of December 1842. There are frequent references to the buying and
selling of cloth and cloth goods. The writer is not identified but there are
many references to items being bought and sold in Cork,’’ as m/ss’s, w.a.f.
