Lord Inchquin Re Election of 1776 Co. Clare: Two Letters re Elections.

In the first letter, Lord Inchiquin writes from Rostellan (Co. Cork)

dated March 31st, 1776 to Pierce Creagh at Dangan, Sixmilebridge (Co.

Clare) re the forthcoming election, requesting that his friends vote for

Mr. Dillon Massy and Mr. Edward Fitzgerald. In the second, Creagh

forwards this letter to Thomas Lysaght together with items of news. he

concludes that he has ‘’no directions about Mrs. Creagh’s Spatterdash’s

[spats] but to have ‘em made exactly according to ye old measurements

she gave you.’’ Two single pages, as m/ss, w.a.f. (2)
