Three interesting documents, as follows:
(1) A telegram dated 13 July 1916 from Frongoch Rail [post office],
from“Jim” [Fitzgerald] to Fitzgerald, 3 East Hill, Cove: “Leahy and myself
released home Friday night”.
(2) A typed letter on Dáil paper from the Department of Finance, 29
Lughnasa [August] 1919, to Seamus Mac Gearailt in Cove re the Dáil
Loan then being organised by Michael Collins as Minister of Finance.
Signed by Collins in Irish as Mícheál Ó Coilean.
(3) Another, dated 29 Samhain [November] 1921, to Mr S. Fitzgerald,
TD, re “Administrative Committees”. Signed “A. de Staic” (Austin Stack,
Minister for Home Affairs).
Séamus Fitzgerald (1896-1972), a native of Queenstown/Cobh, joined
the Irish Volunteers in 1914 and was interned in Frongoch after the
failure of the Easter Rising. He later joined the IRA and Sinn Féin,
and was elected Chairman of Cobh UDC in 1919. He was returned
unopposed as TD for Cork East in 1921. He stood unsuccessfully as
An anti-Treaty candidate in 1922. He joined Fianna Fáil in 1926 and
remained politically active in Co. Cork for the rest of his life. As a coll. of

C.S. Parnell & His Dress Suit
Parnell (Charles Stewart) a one page Manuscript Autograph Letter
signed by Parnell, the contents refer to a request to his personal
tailors "Messrs Phillips & Healy of Dublin," to have his Dress Suit ready
to try on when he passes through Dublin, dated on headed Irish
Parliamentary Office, London paper Nov. 23, 1883, with clear bold
signature, together with associate envelope, as a m/ss., w.a.f. (1)

U.S. Police / Irish Emigrants,
a collection of 10 interesting and
informative Photographic Record Cards, with typed & manuscript
notes on each criminal, with detailed information pertaining to height,
weight (some further details) employment, marks / scars moles etc.,
and importantly the “Crimes & Criminals,” they relate to Petty and Grand
Larceny, Robbery, Vagrancy, Forgery, Burglary 2nd Degree, they state the
names of the Officers (Some Irish named Officers), each inscribed front
and back, as a lot.
