(Gaelic letters), stamped at rear
Roche Cork,’
probably relates to “Cumann
na nGaedheal,” a precursor of Sinn Fein
founded by Arthur Griffith andWilliam
Rooney in 1900. It amalgamated with other
Societies in 1907 to form the National
Council later renamed Sinn Fein: with an
enamelled A.O.H. brooch, also Cork. Scarce.
