A fine quality George II English silver two handled Cup and Cover, by John Swift, London, 1738, hallmark on base (clear), the domed lid with ornate finial and decorated with repoussé flowers and leaf border, the main body with conforming design ‘S’ scroll arms, with etched initials ‘S.A.’ and ‘Taporley Hunt, 1824,’ on a socle base, approx. 28cms (11”) high approx. 47 ounces.
