(1) Note: By tradition this Medal was issued to mark the event which took place in C.S. Parnell’s home place Avondale between Wicklow andWexford in 1887, as a Challenge Match to promote the newly established Gaelic Athletic Association. €800-€1200 701 1903 & 1904 County Kerry Hurling Championships Medals: G.A.A., Co. Kerry, Hurling (1903 &1904) , a shield shaped silver Medal, of pierced and etched design with central cross hurls, the reverse inscribed “1903 Co. Kerry Championship Tralee Celts” (hallmarked); also a pierced decorated and etched silver Medal, the obverse with a circular gold overlay with crossed hurls, the reverse inscribed “1904, Co. Kerry Championship, Tralee Celts,” hallmarked as Medals, w.a.f. (2)
