With finger marks, some creases, small tears, no loss, and with lg. wd.-cut tailpiece at end. * There are 46 different rooms or locations, each with several items, all to be disposed of, like, In the 'Great Parlour,' * A large Grate with Furniture * Twenty four fine walnut Chairs with Barbary Leather Seats and loose Cases of Leather. * A large oval Table, and sideboard Table * A Pair of Back Gammon Tables and Men * A pair of Globes, very good * A large Glass Sconce in a walnut Frame * A Turkey Carpet, etc. etc. Other rooms listed, Kitchen in Powerscourt, Servants Hall, Boarded Hall, Stone Hall, Bake House, Wash House, Brew House, Cellar, Dairy, Confectionary, Stables, Dairy, Lord Powerscourts Closet, with Tapestries, oak chest etc. The Diningroom, with Five pairs of yellow India Damask Window Curtains. Twenty two Chairs, a Settee and two Stools with walnut Frames, cover'd with Serge Covers to the Chairs. One large Peer- Glass, with five Sconces, and six Pair of Glass Arms, etc. etc. It mentions, Scarlet Room, Yellow Room, Nursery, Mohair Room, Green Room, Second Green Room, Six Servants Rooms. It lists approx. 59 Cattle, 29 Sheep, Five Coach Mares, and one Coach Gelding, One young black Stone Horse, fit for an Officer, Nancy, A Bay Mare, finely padded and fit for a Lady, and approx. 31 other horses, some with pedigree & detailed descriptions. It also treats 'House in William's Street, Dublin' in detail. Some rooms with, Persian Window Curtains, gilt Leather Hangings, a large Map of Ireland, Grate and Furniture, Peer Glass, Sconces, and a Clock, a large Book of Maps, Two large Common Prayer Books, Indian Screens, Indian Cabinets, Indian Chest, Tapestry Hangings, Varied China, andWine Glasses of different Sorts. It finishes with, * One new Coach never yet used, with whole Fore-Glass with either one pair of three pair Harnesses * One Stage Coach with a new Seat Cloth, and never used since it was new lined, and with pair of Rump Harness. * One Mourning - Coach * One four wheel Chais, lin'd with Scarlet, with a Scarlet Seat Cloath trim'd with silver. * Oak Bins, and Bedding, etc. Prior to the discovery of this present Catalogue, it was accepted that the earliest extant printed sale catalogue for a house contents in Ireland was that of the disposal of contents of Henry Ingoldsby's House in Mary's Street, Dublin. * Mr. Toby Barnard in his book, "Making the Grand Figure," Lives and Possessions in Ireland, 1641-1770.
