O’Donoghue, 26 Jan. 1946, with comments on this book and on Casement’s Last Adventure by Robert Monteith (1932). Diarmuid Lynch (1878-1950) was a skilled organizer for the Republican movement and played a key role in the planning of the Easter Rising and the preparations for landing German arms in Co. Kerry from the Libau / Aud. His correspondent, Major Florence O’Donoghue, a former Intelligence officer, was a historian of the struggle for independence and a founder of the Bureau of Military History.
