Dublin, weaver. 6. Orders given to the Earl of Kildare to raise a militia regiment. He is instructed to summon all Protestants in the county between the ages of 16 and 60 who are fit to bear arms (any who refuse are to be “prosecuted with the utmost severity in law”). They are to swear oaths of allegiance to George II and abjuration of James the Pretender. He is to find a suitable place to lodge ammunition, drums, colours and trumpets. 7. 28 April 1744.
