Tipperary (inscribed) with Celtic design suspension bar, black and amber ribbon, decorated obverse with solider and provincial coat of arms, some tarnishing. (1) €400 - €600 605. Cumann na mBan: [Dublin] A collection to include a War of Independence Medal with Celtic design suspension bar and black and amber ribbon in original presentation box; together with a metal ‘Cumann na mBan Brooch modelled as a rifle with letters / initials; also a Ladies Army issue Military Hat with gilded ‘Oglaigh na hEireann Badge, as a lot, w.a.f. * Recipient Unknown. A large and impressive blue linen Flag, approx. 10’ x 5’ (4 meters x 2 meters), with stitched in image of the Maid of Erin in yellow, with cord and canvas holder at one side, and with an interesting letter of provenance confirming that this Flag was one of those flown by vessels of the City of Dublin Steam Packet Co. (founded 1822, closed 1924) in the 19th and early 20th Century. The RMS Leinster (sunk by a German submarine) was one of the company’s vessels. Minor damage but generally in good condition.
