Colum (Padraic) A collection of two TLS, one AL and one ALS to the Irish-American journalist and writer, Francis Byrne Hackett, 1916-17, one with the original stamped envelope, one TLS on the back of a carbon copy of a TLS from Hackett to Byrne, the AL torn at foot with loss of the signature. Mainly about arrangements to meet, advice about literary agents etc. Hackett was a Kilkenny-born writer and journalist who spent much of his life in the United States and Denmark (he married the Danish writer Signe Toksvig).
