An Irish Provincial mahogany cased Grandfather Clock, the hood with arch top and sunburst satinwood inlay, over Corinthian columns with glazed door housing a painted dial with Roman numerals, Signed ‘Wallace, Limerick,’ the frame with inlaid shaped panel door on box base with bracket feet, approx. 232cms (91”) high. A rare and important Irish Georgian mahogany Estate Desk, in the manner of Chippendale, the upright section with moulded top, over a drop front door opening to reveal a fitted interior, with pigeon holes, drawers, and leather inset writing slope, the base section with blind fret work panel above a kneehole with central drawer and recessed press, flanked by three drawers each side with brass drop handles on bracket feet, approx. 136cms high x 110cms wide x 61cms deep (53½” x 43½” x 24”).
