A 19th Century French ormolu figural Mantle Clock, with seated Diana the Huntress holding hands with wing cherub, above a circular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, on a decorative shaped base with trophies and garlands with turned feet, approx. 41cms high x 69cms wide (16” x 27”). The shouldered architrave frame is topped with a broken swan neck pediment with acanthus carved moulded cornice, terminating in carved rosettes that frame a central boldly carved scallop shell. The base of the mirror is finished with a shaped apron, and it retains its arched, (apparently) original plate and backboards, approx. 114cms high x 57cms wide (45” x 20”). (1) €600 - €800 782. A very fine quality carved 19th Century giltwood Mirror, of rococo style, the rectangular plate surrounded by rockwork, scrolls, flowers and foliage, the cresting surmounted by carved pagoda with pineapple finial and raped leaf roof, flanked by two ho ho birds, 127cms x 92cms (50” x 36”).
