He was an officer in the yeomanry during the 1798 Rebellion and assisted in suppressing the United Irishmen.. .Over 200 documents covering the period 1816 - 1850 detailing Peace and Answering and Prosecute Recognizances, attempt to murder, larceny, assault, housebreaking, stolen clothes, trespass, combined with another batch of Indentures in which Fishbourne had an interest. Important Record of Waterford City Photographs: A collection of 50 Photographs recording the building of Redmond Bridge in Waterford (1911-1912) and of wharves along the Quay (1928-1929). Six photos of different sizes (the two largest 24 x 29.5 cm) taken by the firm of George D. Croker, depicting various stages in the construction of “Waterford New Bridge” and dated from 6 Nov. 1911 to 19 Sept. 1912. Also 43 photos (+ 1 later), mostly 10.5 x 15 cm. depicting the construction of wharves along the Quay in the vicinity of Redmond Bridge, and bearing handwritten dates between 19 April 1928 and 11 Oct. 1929 and the initials “P.W.” Waterford’s new bridge replaced the old wooden toll-bridge erected in 1793. Its official opening on 10 February 1913 by John Redmond, MP, marked a new phase in the city’s commercial development and occurred at a moment of great hope for the nation – Redmond was then at the height of his power and prestige and confidently expecting to be the first prime minister of a new Home-Rule Ireland. A typed Letter dated from the Mansion House, Dublin, 12 Jan. 1922, and signed by Arthur Griffith, summoning the recipient to attend a meeting at the Mansion House on 14th next, “for the constituting of a provisional government” under the terms of the articles of agreement for treaty. Mounted and framed, together with Griffith’s calling card. This letter was sent to all members elected to the “House of Commons of Southern Ireland” by Griffith, who had been voted President of Dáil Eireann after de Valera’s resignation when the Dáil had approved the Treaty on 7 January. The meeting was duly held, the Treaty ratified, and a provisional government established with Michael Collins as chairman. It took up office two days later when the British administration famously handed over Dublin Castle to Collins.
