A very ornate late Victorian oak Hallstand, the triple cruciform back with various turned pegs and a centre mirror crested with a carved lion mask and a hanging leaf and flower swag below, all above a carved glove drawer with grotesque mask, with stick and umbrella compartments to either side and a centre apron with large grotesque mask, 226cms x 100cms (7’5 x 39”), together with a pair of matching Hall Chairs, each with a very ornate carved back depicting masks hidden within scrolling foliage above a solid seat on carved and turned front legs.
